VAG KESSY 2003–2010 Steering Lock Emulator Programming Instructions

  1. Read the KESSY module installed in the vehicle.
  2. Read the 93C86 EEPROM from the KESSY module.
  3. Save the original EEPROM file as a backup.
  4. Import the EEPROM file into the MK3 software.
  5. The MK3 software will automatically convert the original data into a compatible emulator file.
  6. Save the newly generated emulator file.
  7. Program the emulator by writing the converted file directly to it.
  8. Install the programmed emulator into the vehicle.

Once programmed and installed, the emulator functions as a direct replacement for the original ESL/ELV steering lock, restoring normal vehicle starting and operation without the need to replace the original steering lock unit.
